Let’s start with the fun stuff. Drumroll, please

I want to let everyone know to start out with, this isn’t my genre. I hardly ever read just regular YA fiction that happens in the real world. Yet, I didn’t have trouble getting sucked into this story. I wasn’t able to put it down. This is not the first book of Cait’s I have been completely wrapped up into. Check out The Lost Legends by her as well.
It has humor, it has romance, it has betrayal, it has intrigue. I won’t get into the details of the story that you’ll need to find out on your own, which I thoroughly suggest.
This story has a nice flow. It’s easy to devour, but long enough I couldn’t get through it all in one sitting even though I couldn’t put it down. Being long enough to keep me amused for a time is one of the things I look for in stories so I was pleasantly surprised here. Since I downloaded it on my kindle I had no idea at the start really what I was in for lengthwise. Yet it’s not too long to put off those with short attention spans for reading. A slight mystery will keep you picking up the story until you get to the end!
This world is a lot, I’ll be posting more about that shortly. I’ve been doing a lot of research lately, but this was just the escape that I needed.

Cait Marie has been obsessed with books her entire life, but the love of writing didn’t truly hit until 2017. Since then, she has held multiple positions within Coffee House Writers, including C.O.O., Editor, and Writer. In 2018, she used her passion for reading to create Functionally Fictional. In 2019, she joined the indie staff of YA Books Central as a reviewer and then Indie Assistant Blogger.
Cait graduated with honors in 2019 from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, and she is currently enrolled in their Master of Fine Arts program. She lives in Indiana, where she freelance edits and provides a variety of other author services.
